The American Business Awards are the U.S.A.’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small.
More than 3,600 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories. More than 230 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s Stevie Award winners.
BigHand’s entry to the Company of the Year category focused on the significant progress made with its legal workflow solution, BigHand Workflow, which helps law firms improve operating processes by providing visibility of key measurables such as what types of tasks are being requested and what support team capacity is at any time. Delegated tasks are automatically routed to the right resource, based on the type of work, can be tracked throughout the process, and easily reallocated as team capacity changes.
Eric Wangler, President of North America at BigHand comments, “We are thrilled to have taken gold at this year’s American Business Awards. At BigHand we pride ourselves on having a customer-led product strategy, and it’s wonderful to receive recognition for creating solutions that help our clients optimize their service delivery.”
“The judge’s comments around our workflow solution were especially well received, with one judge stating that it is ‘exactly the solution all the law firms need to implement productivity and operational excellence’ – something we are seeing a big increase in demand for, given the current climate in the legal industry”.
Another aspect of the award entry included BigHand’s market recognition in the ILTA Technology Survey, having earned the number one spot in two categories for it’s digital dictation and template management solutions. BigHand’s acquisition of PayneGroup in 2019 was also included, as an example of its strengthened and growing legal software offering.
Stevie Awards president, Maggie Gallagher said, “Despite the toughest business conditions in memory, American organizations continue to demonstrate their commitment to innovation, creativity, and bottom-line results. This year’s Stevie-winning nominations are full of inspiring stories of persistence, ingenuity, resourcefulness, and compassion.”
