Today they share details of the project’s successes.

Recently, the firm decided to upgrade to a new digital dictation system. They were looking for a solution that was not only easy to implement and use, but also offered speech recognition, to reduce the time spent on transcriptions. Prior to BigHand, some attorneys were using tape-based devices, while others had tried a non-legal specific dictation solution with speech recognition, but were not satisfied with the quality of the audio capture.

BigHand’s voice solution met the firm’s needs perfectly, as well as being established and respected in the legal market. Since implementation, the firm has recorded significant time savings. Regarding increased efficiency, one of the firm’s secretaries commented, “My transcription processing is about 60% faster – if not more – and the sound quality is excellent.  We are already achieving greater than 80% accuracy on complex medical terms which saves us a lot of time on the back end.”

All attorneys were required to use BigHand during their pilot phase.
