BigHand has been named by Great Places to Work® as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™ in the Medium category (organisations with 50-499 employees) in the annual Best Workplaces™ ranking, for a fifth year running.
BigHand climbed to 36th place in the ranking, which is one of the most thorough available, and uniquely comprises of both an in-depth Employee Trust Survey and an audit into the organisation’s management and HR practices. The award recognises the strength of a businesses’ leadership and the range of innovative, creative and effective HR policies that are in place which in turn creates a successful workplace culture.
In response to the global pandemic, BigHand rolled out various initiatives to keep staff motivated, engaged and focused. Thinking of new ways to stay socially connected, supporting flexible working, launching wellbeing initiatives for staff mental and physical health, and ensuring everyone was fully kitted out to effectively work from home were all successful methods in driving the business forward and maintaining its culture.
The news comes in the same week that BigHand was announced as winners in two categories of the 19th Annual American Business Awards. BigHand received the Silver award for it’s Resource Management Technology in the ‘Human Capital Management Solution’ category, and the Bronze award for it’s overall innovation in 2020 in the ‘Most Innovative Tech Company of the Year’ category.
