What are the main benefits you are seeing from the technology?
I think for me, the top three benefits of using BigHand are firstly, it improves the speed of me making a selection on on someone who, finding someone who's suitable for the role that's been requested.
I think using the tool to use the filters, being new to resource management, I think it's been sort of invaluable, really, learning what people are capable of, finding out individual needs, individual sort of aspirations. Using the tool, it's just all there in click of one. So I think that's been massively helpful for me finding my feet in resource management.
How do you encourage different teams to work with the technology?
I keep in regular contact with all of them more. So I'd say with the associates, I think they're where I've been focusing my energy. Primarily, sort of building the relationships and they're the people that have been asking to do the work.
That's where I've been focused, mainly. I also send out regular sort of updates and summaries to the partner groups, make sure they're aware of the process and what we're doing and what's going on. HR as well, I've got a good line of contact with again. Mainly just to be aware of sort of individual needs - finding out a lot more information on absences, holidays, sickness, things like that. It's been a good contact.
Would you recommend BigHand to other firms?
Yes, I would recommend BigHand to other firms. For me, it's been invaluable. From when we get a request through, it's my first port of call. It's an easy system to use. It's quite user friendly, and it's a quick way of finding out who has the capacity and the skill set to fulfill the role that's that's requested.
