2024 has been a testament to the vision, resilience and innovative spirit that define BigHand.
In 2024, we took the opportunity to refresh our company’s purpose and values, as presented to our customers at our June Conference in London.
We reinforced our commitment to making Big Happen for our Customers being at the centre of our thinking at all times.
We achieve this through teamwork and collaboration (we win together); having a growth mindset (we love to learn); integrity (we do the right thing); being accountable (we own it); and bringing energy and fun to all our client engagements (we find the fun).
These values aren’t just words - they’re the principles guiding everything we do. They set the baseline for how we engage with, and support, our customers every day.
In 2024 we delivered our final BigHand Workflow Management On-Premise release, allowing us to fully focus on cloud, taking a huge step forward to being a cloud-first company.
In parallel, we made significant strides with the cloud release of BigHand Business Intelligence 4.0, including the new Business Development module, further enhancing the data and insight we deliver to support law firms’ ability to win work.
BigHand Resource Management, Matter Pricing, and Impact Analytics cloud solutions were enhanced to deliver additional data and analytics to our clients.
Our Metadata Management Office JS release was an important step forward for our Document Productivity customers with a plugin operating within OfficeJS.
Beyond the legal sector, we partnered with Corti to introduce ambient AI technology to UK healthcare trusts. This highlights our technology’s versatility and our ongoing commitment to product innovation.

In 2024, we attended more events than ever before as we continue to focus on spending time with our customers and in the market. This year’s ILTA conference in Nashville was a particular highlight for me, with more customer meetings than ever before!
We also welcomed an incredible 97 new BigHanders to the business, reflecting our ongoing growth and commitment to attracting and nurturing the best talent. Prioritising a culture where every BigHander feels valued, empowered and inspired has been - and will continue to be - a cornerstone of our success.
Of course, no year is without its challenges. Some areas require more focus and attention, but I’m confident in our ability to address these head-on. As always, our resilience and determination will guide us through.
2025 is especially meaningful, as BigHand celebrates its 30th anniversary. Over three decades, we’ve grown from a small team in the UK with a single product to an international company nearing 500 employees and offering multi-product solutions to enhance law firms’ profitability and success.
I want to express my deepest thanks to every BigHander, to our partners for your unwavering support and hard work, and to our awesome customers for your ongoing trust and support.
