The UK IT Industry Awards focus on the contribution of individuals, projects, organisations and technologies that have excelled in the use, development and deployment of IT in the past 12 months. BigHand have been shortlisted for the Innovation and Entrepreneurship category.
This award is aimed at a new product or service that has delivered measurable benefit for customers, can demonstrate the potential to be an important product for customers worldwide, and has been developed by a small team in the UK. BigHand was shortlisted for its task delegation product BigHand Workflow Management, and the successful results realised at firms such as Brown Jacobson and Osborne Clarke.
The HSJ Awards, now in their 36th year, recognise, celebrate and promote the finest achievements in the NHS. BigHand have been shortlisted for the ‘Using Technology to Improve Efficiency’ category. The submission focused on how BigHand software allows clinicians to get more correspondence work done in less time, at a better quality, and at a reduced cost, with evidence of success taken from University Hospital Bristol and Northumberland Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust.

The UK IT Industry Awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday 15 November, with the HSJ Awards Ceremony to follow on Wednesday 22 November.
