Why did you choose BigHand?

We have BigHand Dictation, which we've had for the longest time, and we always really liked working with the BigHanders. So, when the workflow technology came out, we jumped on that because it really helps us to control and understand all the tasks that are going through the firm at any one time.

We can we can see them. It's transparent. We can share them. We can start to use data to understand where the peaks and troughs are, where any blockages are, and start to make plans based on that.

 

What has been your experience with BigHand during implementation?

BigHand really listen to us and they really understand our needs, which is fantastic. Those two things are related, I would say. If BigHand are looking at developing a product, they'll come and talk to us, find out what we would need from it, what our expectations would be. I've had lots of sessions with a lot of sharing information with various BigHanders over the years. It's great to see because it means that BigHand is so responsive to our changing needs as well.

 

How has the data visibility improved your workflows?

We have really found that the amount of data that comes through the Workflow product is mind blowing. Everything is recorded using Windows Power BI so we can really drill down into what is going on in the firm - which up until now, has been quite opaque. We hadn't been able to see that as well.

Especially with hybrid working as well, what the Workflow tool gave us is just this window into understanding what's going on within the firm and the data that it's collecting. Means that where then we can look at trends and patterns and we can start to make proactive decisions about our resourcing, what we might need, the types of tasks that we're doing, where we might have skills gaps and so on.

It really has helped us to understand what's going to be needed in the business, not just understanding what's happened.
